Râșnov Fortress is a powerful symbol of our nation's aspirations and identity. Situated in Râşnov, Brașov County, Râșnov Fortress is a well-known historic monument and landmark built as part of a defence system for the Transylvanian villages exposed to foreign invasions, forced to surrender only once, back in 1612 when invaders managed to find a secret route that supplied the inhabitants of the fortress with water.
